“Abundance is not something we acquire; it is something we tune into! Wayne Dyer
“If you want greater prosperity in your life, start forming a vacuum to receive it” Catherine Ponder.
Abundance is a mindset and more than anything else in life our innermost beliefs about money will influence how money and abundance comes into our life. We are all seeking an increase in food, clothes, better homes, pleasure, more job satisfaction, in fact we seek increase in everything it is human nature. This natural desire should not be suppressed or condemned. It is a divine energy and can be lifted to divine levels of expression through the universal laws of prosperity thinking.
We all have one friend who can find a parking space no matter how busy the car park. A parking spot seems to magically appear, right at the perfect time and right next to the entrance. They may say “I have good parking luck”. In reality, when you compare their thought patterns to a more pessimistic driver, their parking “luck” becomes much less mysterious. For instance, if you are stressed and you enter a busy car park and you are concerned that you will not find a parking spot and that you will be late, you may get frustrated and only notice the spaces that you can’t have, you may get tunnel vision and miss the parking spots you can have. On the other hand, you enter the car park feeling relaxed and positive about finding a parking spot, you drive calmly and patiently looking for opportunities, such as a car's reverse lights or people walking towards a car. You remain calm and optimistic knowing that the perfect spot will be found. And time and time again it does.
A positive approach demonstrates an abundance mindset, while a negative approach shows a scarcity mindset. The ability to find a parking space is determined in large part by the opportunities that the mind is attuned to, or not attuned to. Having an abundance or scarcity mindset works in the same way with money.
What is an Abundance Mindset?
An abundance mindset is a belief system that says, “There is enough to go around, and I can have it too. It is a mindset that naturally and often effortlessly attracts more of what you want in life by helping you to see the opportunities not obstacles.
With regard to money, an abundance mindset is characterised by several key beliefs and attitudes, including:
1. Develop a positive attitude towards money. See money as an energy and a tool that can be used to create more opportunities and abundance, not just for you but for others as well. See money as you friend not your enemy. There is no lack in the world just minds that lack.
2.. Develop an attitude of gratitude. Practicing gratitude is important for an abundance mindset. Learn to focus on the positive things in your life, rather than dwelling on what you don't have. Create a gratitude list and regularly update it and read it often to remind you of just how much you have to be grateful for.
3. Embrace abundance for others. An abundance mindset is not just about personal gain, but also about recognising that abundance is available to others as well. People with an abundance mindset are happy to see others succeed and believe in lifting others up to reach their potential.
4. Willingness to take risks: Having an abundance mindset means being open to taking calculated risks in pursuit of your goals. Rather than being held back by fear of failure or loss, those with an abundance mindset are willing to try new things and see challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
An Abundance Mindset will transform your life!!
"Every day in every way I am growing richer and richer”.
Don't be afraid to declare that you will be wealthy and that large sums of money are yours. Don't be vague about money unless you want money to be vague in its response to you.
Adopting an abundance mindset is not just a mindset shift, it's a life-changing decision that can lead to a host of benefits. People who embrace abundance believe in limitless possibilities, which fosters creativity and innovation. They don't let setbacks and challenges deter them but instead use them as opportunities for growth and learning, leading to increased resilience. Above all, an abundance mindset can help you attract more success and opportunities, leading to a more fulfilled life.

What is a Scarcity Mindset?
A ‘scarcity mindset’ should not be confused with the attitude someone must take when navigating financial hardship. When dealing with unexpected expenses, job loss or economic downturns, for example, managing finances thoughtfully and effectively is crucial to make the most of limited resources. Coping with financial hardship is a temporary state.
On the other hand, a scarcity mindset is a belief that there is never enough to go around – money, time, or resources – and it’s characterised by a focus on lack, and a negative belief towards money. It is a belief system that sees resources as finite and limited, with not enough to go around. Some key characteristics include:
1. Fear of loss or failure: People with a scarcity mindset often fear losing what they have or failing in their endeavours, which can lead to a focus on protecting what they have rather than seeking new opportunities.
2. Fearful or guilty attitude towards spending: People with a scarcity mindset may view money as a scarce resource to be hoarded and protected, rather than a tool to create abundance. Often stemming from childhood experiences, those with a scarcity mindset may feel guilty about spending their money, even if they now have the means to do so freely.
3. Fixed mindset: A scarcity mindset is often associated with a rigid mindset, where individuals believe that their abilities, skills, and intelligence are predetermined and cannot be improved. This leads to a lack of motivation to learn and grow, which can limit a person’s earning potential. So many of us resign to this limited belief, and don't see the many advantages around them.
4. Comparison with others: People with a scarcity mindset tend to compare themselves with others. Focusing on what one lacks rather than what one has can lead to a negative mindset that prevents someone from seeing opportunities and taking advantage of them. It can be difficult to create abundance in one's life if one is constantly comparing oneself with others and feeling envious or inadequate.
5. Self-limiting beliefs: A scarcity mindset is often characterized by limiting beliefs such as "I'm not good enough" or "I don't deserve success." These beliefs can hold individuals back from pursuing their goals and can create a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure.
Strategies for Developing an Abundance Mindset
Developing an abundance mindset is not an overnight process, but it is worth investing time and effort in. Here are some practical strategies that can help:
Practice gratitude: Gratitude is a powerful tool for cultivating abundance. Take time each day to reflect on what you are thankful for. This could be as simple as acknowledging the roof over your head, the food on your table, or the people in your life who love and support. Write a gratitude list and regularly update and add to it.
Use abundance affirmations: Repeat positive statements that help to reprogram your subconscious mind. Start each day by reciting affirmations that align with an abundance mindset. Like: “I am worthy of abundance”, “I am a Money Magnet”, “Money flows easily and effortlessly into my life”
Visualise your financial goals: Visualisation and the imagination are the two most powerful tools that you have. Spend time each day imagining your financial dreams as if they have already happened. See yourself with your dream partner, your perfect home, your dream car, or travelling to your dream destination. Focus on feelings of joy and gratitude. The more vividly you can imagine your ideal financial situation the more likely you are to manifest into your life.
Take action towards your goals: It’s not just about positive thinking, it also requires taking action towards your goals. Break your financial goals into achievable steps each day. This could be as simple as setting up a savings plan or investing a small amount of money each month. The more you take action towards your goals the more you reinforce the belief that abundance is achievable.
Surround yourself with positive influences: This can include reading books or articles about finance and abundance mindset, attending seminars and workshops on the topic or joining online communities or groups focusing on wealth abundance. You can also seek out mentors or coaches who can help you.
Have a positive mindset towards money and success and engage in conversations with friends or share your beliefs about money and abundance.
Action Steps You Can Take
Apply small easily achievable steps each day to help you to create an abundance mindset. Here are a few ideas:
Practice gratitude by taking a few moments to reflect on what you are grateful for.
Use Positive affirmations such as” I am worthy of wealth and abundance” “Money flows freely into my life” or “I am open to receiving abundance”.
Visualise you goals and dreams as though they have already happened and come to fruition.
Take small actionable steps each day. Make sure they are broken down into weekly, if not daily goals.
Look at who or what influences in your life are promoting a scarcity mindset. Think about not being swayed by these influences.
